Festivals and stories are the best way to make the children respect, understand and appreciate different cultures. To mark the celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights, Samsara-The World Academy celebrated the festivity with great zeal and zest on 2nd November 2021. The students engaged themselves in an array of vibrant activities.
The tiny tots of Grade MB to II started the celebration with the prayer to Almighty and then proceeded the event further by performing an Act on some peculiar and chronicle incidents of Ramayana like the Vanvaas Gaman, Surpanakha Kand, Sita Haran and Ravana Vadh which was followed by the return of Lord Ram, Sita and Laxman with Hanuman to Ayodhya. Our tiny tots performed exceptionally well and looked delightful as they dressed up as characters from Ramayana.
The students of III to V were engrossed in "Pot Decoration Activity". They came up with unique creative ideas and used handpicked materials to paint and decorate their mud pots. The students enjoyed participating exuberantly in the activities.
To invoke the blessings of Goddess Laxmi, ceremonial worshipping was also performed by our revered Principal Capt. Praveen Roy, Coordinators and the students' council members. The puja culminated with the rendition of aarti, bhajans and prasad distribution. Everyone sought the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. The entire ambience echoed the spirit of divinity.
To add the joy of festivities special assembly on 'No Use of Firecrackers and Prevention of Air Pollution was also conducted by the students of classes VII and VIII. The students delivered speeches and recited poems on the relevance of 'Eco-Friendly Diwali'. A skit 'Don't Use Fire Crackers' was presented by the students, thus, giving out the strong message to celebrate Eco-friendly Diwali to reduce the negative effects of burning crackers. Addressing the students, our revered Principal Capt. Praveen Roy expressed her deep concern about the environment and urged the students to celebrate Green Diwali.
The purpose behind the Diwali celebration was to let the children extract the flavours of festivity to the fullest. Through various activities, the students are given the golden opportunity to manifest their creativity and even understand how they can shred darkness and illuminate their lives and also that of others on every Diwali.
Everyone had a rich learning experience combined with the festive mood and spirit.
Thanks & Regards
Samsara Family
