Rangoli, with its vibrant colours and designs, is an integral part of the Diwali celebration. To embellish the festivities of Diwali, Samsara- The World Academy organised the "Inter-House Rangoli Competition" for the students of Grade 9th to 12th on 1st November 2021.
Teams of enthusiastic artists of the four Houses: Tagore House, Shakespeare House, Aristotle House and Beethoven House, displayed their creativity, imagination and artistic talent through colours.
All the participants made beautiful intricately rangoli patterns using floral designs, geometric shapes, peacock motifs and images of deities. They used eco-friendly materials such as diyas, grains, coloured sawdust and flowers. Their artistic flair was evident at one glance of the exquisitely delightful patterns.
Students were judged on the criteria of creativity, overall appearance, colour combination details, and clarity of the rangoli patterns. The winner of the competition was Aristotle House. The Second winner was jointly grabbed by Beethoven & Shakespeare houses followed by Tagore House respectively.
The vigour and enthusiasm of the participants truly made this competition a beautiful way to connect students to their cultural roots.
