Sanskrit Shloka Vachan Pratiyogita

Sanskrit is the mother of all languages. An IH activity ' Sanskrit Shloka Vachan Pratiyogita' was conducted by Sanskrit department for the students of classes VI to VIII, on 9th August, 2019. Shloka is generally a couplet of Sanskrit verse, especially one in which each line contains sixteen syllables. It's a unique language with beauties of its sound, precision in pronunciation and thoroughness in every aspect of its structures.
This activity helped the participants extract the essence of Indian values and culture as they beautifully recited the shlokas and explained their meanings to the young audience.
The Principal, Captain Praveen Roy congratulated the participants for their selection of Shlokas and their melodious presentation. She appreciated the effort and said that chanting of shlokas can indirectly help in keeping the mind alert and sharpening the intellect.
