Dussehra Celebration

"The day of Dussehra serves as a reminder that only the truth shall exist and the evil shall perish."

Dussehra is the celebration of the triumph of good over evil. It is celebrated on the 10th day of the month of Ashvin as per the Hindu calendar. To mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil.

Keeping this thought and the festive spirit alive,  Samsara-The World Academy organised an array of activities for the students of classes III to V.

To revere the occasion, The tiny tots from the primary section were attired in the costumes of Lord Ram, Lakshmana, Goddess Sita, Hanumaan Ji and vaner sena. They embodied themselves exuberantly in the activity 'Impersonification of Mythological characters of Ramayana’. The students who enacted these roles were perfect in their poise, confidence and expression.

Students of classes IV and V encompassed themselves in  ‘Learning by doing- Mask Up Activity' in which they designed colourful masks and effigies of Ravana exhibiting their artistic & learning skills.

The objective of the activity was actually to make the students aware of the oft-repeated message i.e. the triumph of virtue over vice. Children learnt values of honesty, respect, obedience, which are the core of our Indian epic - The Ramayana.
They expressed their happiness and enjoyed these activities with great religious zeal and ardour.
