'IIL Effects of Tobacco' 21st March-2017
With a vision to 'Win- over Cancer' Samsara-The World Academy, held a workshop on the 'Ill Effects of Tobacco' for the students of class V to VIII. The Workshop was conducted by Dr. Pawan Gupta (MS, Add. Director of Surgical Oncology) of Jaypee Hospital, Greater Noida. The students were made aware that smoking and Tobacco use can harm everybody- system and lead to health problems. And even second-hand smoke causes adverse health effects in the people of all ages. The Principal of the School Capt. Praveen Roy emphasised that it is important to make sure the children understand the dangers of smoking and chewing tobacco. The other important aspect according to her is establishing a good foundation of communication with the children early-on, to protect them from these unhealthy habits.
