A Trip to Parliament House

Students of classes VI to VIII visited the Parliament House( Lok Sabha , Rajya Sabha) Central Hall, and the Parliament Museum at New Delhi, on Thursday, 24th October 2019.
The Parliament is the temple of Indian democracy, within it's four walls our future is shaped, every Indian student should have knowledge about what it is and how it functions. The students of Samsara got an opportunity to visit this most important institution of our country.
Our students witnessed the chambers of the two houses of the Indian Parliament- Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, as well as the common hall where the joint sessions are held.
Students also visited the Parliament Museum located in the Parliament Library Building in New Delhi. They saw a collection of symbols and different statues of our great leaders. It was an amazing experience for them to hear the first Lok Sabha Speech given by our country’s first PM, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. They were thrilled to view the walls of the museum which had Indian history written on them.
Overall, it was an enriching experience for the students as they were able to see the centre of all the law- making discussions and debates and enhance their knowledge about the working of the law- making body of India. Their knowledge about the voting procedures followed while passing a Bill was also enhanced. The trip proved to be very informative as students could relate to their textbook knowledge by witnessing everything in front of their eyes.
