Our facilitators from Samsara The World Academy Ms. Pinki Yadav, Ms. Ramita Sharma and Ms. Seema Garg got the opportunity to participate in the workshop on 'Capacity Building Programme on Career Guidance' conducted on 26th and 27th April 2019 at Sri Krishna Sagar Public School Bhangel, Noida. The resource person was Mr.Dheeraj Kumar.
Career Guidance is a process of helping each individual student in development of their overall personality including intellectual, personal, social, emotional and spiritual areas of development.
Guidance aims at helping the individual in
*Self understanding
*Self accepting
*Self directing

He elaborated the role of teachers as career guidance providers and said the teachers can perform career guidance functions effectively through a systematic and planned set of activities especially at the secondary and senior secondary stages.
He mentioned different dimensions of career guidance .and emphasised that subject taught should be in relation with different career strategies and resources used in imparting career information.
He also stressed on setting up a Career Resource room in schools displaying various types of informational materials providing information about various career options .
It was very impressive and very informative workshop that benefitted our facilitators and supplemented to enhance their competence and knowledge.
