A workshop on " Special Education Needs" was conducted for the facilitators of Samsara on 24th Sep, 2015. Ms. Ritika Tomar, the special educator discussed about CBSE exemptions and use of amanuensis for blind, physically handicapped, autistic, dyslexic, spastic candidates with disabilities as defined in the persons with disabilities Act 1995.
After that she sensitize the facilitators regarding the inclusive education, types of disability, use of Assistive technology for children with special needs and barrier free environment which is very essential for special needs children as it helps them to move independently.
As a conclusion we can say that special needs children are also the part of our community. Inclusive education helps us to develop our classrooms, programs and activities in such a way that all students learn and participate equally.
