Our Science facilitator Ms. Seema Singh attended a workshop on " Writing Items - Multiple Choice Questions ' organised by CBSE, CoE, Delhi West, on 14 th July, 2021.
The resource person was Ms. Jyotsna Grover, Vice Principal, Salwan Public school, New Delhi.
The objective of the workshop was to make the attendees know all about Multiple Choice questions and how to frame these MCQs to enhance student's learning.
She guided the teachers to have good knowledge of the subject matter- including knowledge of popular fallacies and misconceptions. She shared some tips for MCQs and said that a good question is the one which is purposeful, clear, brief, thought-provoking and limited in scope.
Further she elaborated the advantages and disadvantages of MCQs .These MCQs are helpful for the students for their versatility, validity and adaptable at various levels to achieve the learning outcomes.
The session was informative, knowledgeable and interesting which gave an array of ideas to all the participants in designing appropriate MCQs in different subjects.
