Our facilitator Ms. Smruti Bhuyan attended an online workshop on 'Gender Sensitive Methodologies' on 22nd,Sept, 2020.
Ms. Priyanka Mehta, the resource person threw light on the strategies to promote ‘Gender Equality’ in the classrooms. She emphasized the integration of gender sensitivities in teaching. She even suggested some of the following ways which can be done in the school:-

• Make the gender sensitive cards to promote equality in the classroom.
• Make both the boys and girls group leaders.
• Give examples of leaders/ kings of both genders.
• While conducting group activities every group must include everyone irrespective of their gender.
The take away of the workshop was  - ‘We are teaching minds but not just persons, therefore, we need to change the way our children think’.
