Our Facilitator Ms. Pramila Panda, PGT, Physics, attended an online Capacity Building Programme on “Science is Looking , Doing, Concluding.' conducted by CBSE, CoE,on 30th Oct,2020.
The resource person was Ms.Tanushree Chakraborty, Principal, DAV Public School, Kanke. She said that Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence and experimentation.
She further elaborated that 'Doing' means to learn the different methods and steps in teaching science. The main steps are observations, formulation of hypothesis and then concluding from the observation and earlier knowledge.
The resource person also discussed some of the best approaches for science pedagogy like enquiry, problem solving, cooperative learning, experiential learning  and finally said that besides these the teachers must not ignore  the realistic approach for teaching science.
