Our Principal Capt. Praveen Roy and all the teaching staff attended an online awareness Workshop on Project- CACA (Children Against Child Abuse) to sensitise all the participants about Child Abuse and POCSO Act, 2012 on 18th July, 2020.
The eminent speakers Ms.Nishitha Bakshi & Ms. Neha Batra (lawyer) informed all the attendees that Project CACA is an academic approach towards the issue of abuse against children in our society. It aims at prevention of child abuse, bullying, cyber crime and safety among others.
The workshop was very informative for the participants in terms of gaining knowledge about the various laws under POCSO Act-2012 and the punishments thereof.
They discussed various child related issues and how to deal with them. They even told the teachers to be vigilant and observe any change in behavioural pattern of the child.
They apprised that it is the responsibility of the teacher and the Principal to report such offences immediately to the police.
The workshop taught & guided all the participants towards creating a safer, better and healthier living environment for children around us. |
