A Menstrual Health and Hygiene Awareness Workshop was conducted at Samsara – The World Academy on 4 August 2026 for students of Classes V to XII, with the aim of promoting awareness about menstrual health and encouraging healthy hygiene practices among adolescent girls.
The session was conducted by Ms. Pavitra, Counsellor at The Brand Side Story Foundation, in association with Procter & Gamble. She spoke about menstrual hygiene, the correct use and safe disposal of sanitary pads, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle during menstruation. Students participated actively, asking thoughtful questions and engaging in meaningful discussions.
The workshop encouraged open conversations around menstrual health, addressed common misconceptions, and emphasised the importance of informed choices and personal hygiene for overall well-being.
Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Shalini Prasad remarked, "Awareness and education empower girls to make informed choices and lead healthier, more confident lives."
