Lata Mangeshkar was an Indian playback singer well known as India’s Nightingale.    Her contribution to the Indian music industry in a career spanning seven decades gained her honorific titles such as "The Nightingale of India", "Voice of the Millennium" and "Queen of Melody".She left for her heavenly abode after living a joyful life, on 6 February 2022.

 Samsara -The World Academy conducted a special assembly on 8th February 2022, to pay tribute and honour to the legendary singer and 'Bharat Ratna Award' winner Lataji.

The assembly was hosted by the students of Class 9. They expressed their solace with a heartfelt speech and messages which was followed by Lataji's most popular and beautiful medleys presented by the music department. 

Our revered Principal Ma'am Capt. Praveen Roy also shared condolences on this lamentable occasion and said that Lata ji will remain a fragrant presence in our lives forever through her treasure trove of songs.

The demise of  'The Voice of India - Lata Mangeshkar' is the end of an era of music but her melodious voice will remain immortalised among us and in the entire world.
