Samsara The World Academy celebrated India's 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 bringing together the school and the local community to commemorate the nation's journey of freedom.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Lt. Col. Pramod Singh Atri, Head Administrator, MPS Group; Principal Dr. Shalini Prasad; Vice Principal Ms. Jyoti Batra; Academic Coordinators; the President of the RWA, Sector 37; and School Captain Taanvi Singh, followed by the National Anthem and patriotic presentations by the students.
As part of the school's Community Outreach Programme, residents of Sector 37 were invited to join the celebration. Parents and community members participated in Zumba, painting and sports, extending the spirit of the occasion beyond the school community.
Students explored the meaning of freedom through a range of thoughtfully planned activities. The Digital Dandi March connected them with India's freedom struggle, while Freedom Then vs. Freedom Now encouraged them to reflect on how the idea of freedom has evolved over time. Awareness activities on phone addiction, I Am Proud of… slogan writing, flag-making and poster-making further encouraged students to consider the responsibilities that accompany freedom in contemporary times.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Shalini Prasad highlighted the school's 100% Board results, sporting achievements and its educational vision in alignment with NEP 2020. She emphasised the importance of preparing students to use their knowledge and abilities responsibly and contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
Our march, in our Quest for learning and, "To Greater Heights", continues with full vigour!
