73rd Republic Day Celebrations

“Constitution is not a mere lawyer’s document, it is a vehicle of life, and its spirit is always the spirit of Age.” - Dr BR Ambedkar

To acknowledge the sacrifices made by our unsung patriots and to affirm the loyalty to our great constitution, Samsara-The World Academy celebrated 73rd Republic Day with immense patriotic fervour and zeal. This year Republic Day was celebrated under the broader ambit of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood. The programme began at 9:00 am with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag by our revered principal Capt. Praveen Roy, accompanied by the teachers and staff members, followed by the National Anthem.

Principal Ma’am in her speech highlighted the importance of the constitution and said that we Indians are fortunate to have one of the largest constitutions of the world. She praised the armed forces that are consistently protecting us and guarding the country.

A plethora of activities was also organised to infuse the spirit of solidarity and patriotism among the students. All the students above class VI took part in the online quiz contest on the subject ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat in Defence Production and Apna Desh Apne Hathiyar’ conducted on the platform of MyGov during 05-20, January 2022.

To know more about the bravery of the gallantry award winners of our country, the students of classes 3 to 12 participated in the Veer Gatha Project organized by the Ministry of Defense in partnership with the Ministry of Education and MyGov from 21 October 2021 to 20 November 2021. They expressed their gratitude through poems, paragraphs, essays, and paintings on Gallantry Award winners.

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the students also participated in the ‘Third Expression Series’ of CBSE for the session, 2021-22 themed “My Vision for India @100 years”. The Tiny tots of Class 1 & 2 expressed their ideas through ‘Flag Making.’ The students of Classes 3 to 8 too showed their patriotic fervour through ‘Poster Making’. The zealous patriots of Class 9 & 10 enthusiastically took part in ‘Essay Writing’, whereas the students of Classes 11 &12 sang to the tunes of patriotism through their poems.

Indeed, it was an enriching celebration to commemorate the respect and love for our constitution and India as The Republic.

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
