‘Literary richness’ found a digital expression as Samsara The World Academy celebrated Interbranch Literary Fest 2021 - ‘Exposition of Budding Laureate’ on 23rd October 2021. The event aimed to foster the love of literature and writing in students.
It was a matter of great delight that honourable Richa Sharma Ma’am, Advisor, MPS Group had kindly consented to be the chief guest. She inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp while the students sang melodious hymns. The students of the 3rd to 5th class enthusiastically participated in the ‘Group-A Poem Recitation Competition’, whereas the students of class 6th to 8th presented their oratory skills in the ‘Group-B English Speech Competition’.
The participants recited their poems with great confidence and left no stone unturned to give in their best. The poems presented were varied and amusing. They were judged on the criteria of fluency, tone, facial expressions, vocal strength/emotions and props. The judges for the Poetry Recitation were Ms Nidhi Gupta (CBSE Certified English Language Trainer) and Ms. Neera Arora (HOD English Dept. at Greater Noida World School ).
This was followed by the English Speech Competition. It was delightful to see how beautifully the students had displayed their oratory skills and delivered the speeches of the famous world leaders, which were fluent and erudite. They were judged on the criteria of content, clarity, eloquence and presentation by their judges, Ms. Shruti Anand, (PGT, English, Ursuline Sen., Sec. School) and Ms. Sushma Garg, (, PGT, English, Pragyan School.)
The young and brilliant poets and orators had won the hearts of all the judges, who were overwhelmed by their poetic and oratory skills. The competition gave a lot of encouragement and confidence to the performers.
Honourable Advisor Richa Sharma Ma’am appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged them to participate in these events. Our Principal Capt. Praveen Roy Ma’am applauded the endeavour of the students for showcasing their talent.
The competition culminated successfully with encouragement and appreciation from all the respected judges. The talent, confidence and expression of the young students made the event truly memorable.
