Workshop on Storytelling in Classroom

Our facilitator Ms. Sagarika Chakraborty, PRT, English attended a workshop on 'Story Telling in Classroom' organized by CBSE, COE, Noida on Wednesday,16th June, 2021.
The main key learning point was to understand the importance of story telling in classroom.
The resource person Dr. Priyanka Mehta highlighted the art of story telling in the classroom. She provided different creative ideas of story telling. She explained that how we can be a storyteller and being a teacher we can use it as a pedagogical tool, which helps to foster imagination , explore diversity, discover a variety of ways to create stories and to integrate the curriculum too. It is yet another device in the repertoire of a good teacher and a powerful form of communication for both teachers and students.
She highlighted active story based learning which helps children to learn language, science,mathematics , develops general awareness and critical thinking. Overall it was an informative session.
