Samsara The World Academy provides platform to our students to bring the best in them and to enrich their experiences in life. To enhance their confidence and to strengthen their Public speaking skills, an Inter House Activity namely Elocution Contest was conducted for the students of classes IXth and XIth on Friday, 25th April, 2019.
The Elocution focuses on grammar, style of speaking, tone, proper use of gestures, specifically the skill of clear and expressive speech. The participants were allotted three minutes to present their views and facts on the topic 'The Importance of Vocational Education'. Vocational education There were sixteen participants in all that is four from each House. The students highlighted the needs and importance of Vocational Education the on job training program which enables them to be more skilled, job oriented and job ready along with the basic academic qualification. There are 40 vocational courses being offered by CBSE to students at Senior Secondary level. These are certificates and Diploma courses which will make the students skilled and competent.
The best being that students who are school dropouts can also enroll in any of the courses which offers them job or helps them to be self employed such as acquiring the skills of tailoring, carpentery, mehandi design, courses of beauty parlour etc. along with professional courses in trades and business, computers, finance, health and nutrition, tourism, banking, retails, hospitality and company Secretary to name a few.
The participants were judged based on their Content, Innovation, Confidence and Presentation.
