Behaviour Management Policy
Effective management of behaviour is the key feature of school life about which there must be a clear, shared and consistent understanding between all teaching and support staff, parents children and management.
We have a system of zone operators throughout the school. There are four areas of zones i.e. green for good, yellow for inappropriate behaviour, orange for unacceptable behaviour and red for totally unacceptable behaviour.

GREEN ZONE:- All children will start from green zone and will remain here if they continue to follow the code of conduct.

YELLOW ZONE:- Children will be moved into this zone for persistent minor infringements of the code of conduct, for e.g.:- inappropriate classroom behaviour, disturbing the class etc.

ORANGE ZONE:- Children will be moved into this zone if their behaviour is seriously objectionable , particularly if it is aggressive or defiant behaviour for eg:- refusing and rudeness to staff, fighting with peers etc.

RED ZONE:- Children will be moved to this zone for serious breaches of code of conduct. Major breaches of discipline, including physical assault, stealing etc.

A buffer zone has, therefore been, decided after each zone to give them "Thinking time/ Decision making time". This is a clear warning for children to take corrective action before going into yellow, orange or red zone as per their behaviour and missing out on further rewards. It is felt that most of our children would "Make the right choice" and would quickly move back to green zone. As a conclusion, we can say that when children will be self-disciplined and self-directive, their needs and interest become clearer to them and others.
